The L.A. low riding and car scene has been around for decades throughout Southern California bringing people together from all walks of life together as one, for the love of custume cars.
How ever it is misconstrued by outsiders and critics who are too quick to judge a book by its cover. for years it has bridged a gap between rival gangs and races throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Unfurtunately because of the culture it blatantly show cases that it's inhabitants are from urban communities and backrounds, this often leads to the misconception that the scene is a playground for thugs and criminals when in reality it represents everything OPPOSITE of that.
Yeah, with any culture there will be bad seeds butthat is to be expected. that's like saying all police are bad because of a few bad seeds in law enforcement that abused their power. Sounds foolish Right? Well the low riding and car club scenes of Southern California are no different. Since a majority of the scene hails from rough communities and the violent history of L.A.'s urban communities, we are a target for such false assumptions. Sometimes trouble does occur but the fact is the positivity outweighs the negativity by a ton.
As a member of WATTS LIFE CAR CLUB , I have seen firsthand the blessing that our scene has provided for all of us. it gives us all a positive cause to put aside our differences for the love of cars and customization. It gives us a safe environment to bring our families and children out on the weekends to build relationships and see cars that most people only see in magazines and we show ours for FREE
